Verra Sorkova - Most Devoted

Hello and welcome to NPCFriday! If you've been visiting for a while, you've seen this name before. But I can assure you, Verra is not the same girl she was. I actually started writing short stories to help with creativity during these trying times. The more I write about Verra the more she grows and gains her own personality. I have no intention of taking my writings any further than me saying to my fiancee "Hey, tell me what you think of this!" haha But anyway, let's get down to the fun stuff!

Personality - Verra’s behavior is that of a determined yet misguided young woman. She doesn’t fully realize what she has become, but she knows she is fully infatuated with this voice that by definition is seductive, leading and directing her to become more powerful. In her mind she wants to become worthy of this voice that provokes her, to be worthy of the love that she invests into it.

She loves the voice, and is convinced that it has given her power because she was chosen by it, which gives her a superiority complex that never wavers. In Verra’s mind, the voice has granted her the use of magics and arcane spells, even though she is told by the voice to follow another god as the means to gain spells to become more powerful. The goddess Shar is the deity she was encouraged by the voice to follow. Not yet going through any sort of ritual or going through proper channels to declare worship, she is reading and studying the goddess as she strives to become stronger.

She is so obsessed that she reached the point where she will try anything to get what she wants. That means being flirtatious, suggestive, bratty, manipulative, violent, and nearly anything else if it gets her closer to the goal of meeting this enchanted voice. Her emotions also change on a whim, meaning that one second she can be trying to flirt her way through a situation and the next she is stomping her foot because it didn’t work. She is rarely above any tactic if it means she succeeds in her goal. Cheating, stealing, bribery, it’s all excellent means to excel her into becoming worthy of the voice.

She has light grey skin, thin weaved hair, and fangs that protrude outward only when she smiles. Her figure is athletically thin and lean, having a small bust as with her body type.

In life, she was little more than arm candy to high society. The purple dress she sported had a cut along the front that stopped below her breastbone, further exaggerating her thin figure. Verra was a member of a “companion” service that those of rarefied standing within major cities. She was taught at an early age to be able to carry light and polite conversation, but also be exciting and flirtatious to clients to further promote the companion service.

It’s this forgotten but innate teaching that has bled into Verra’s new life style, causing her to be suggestive and flirtatious first to try to get what she wants. It also accounts for her spoiled attitude when she doesn’t get her way.

Verra at first I thought was a pure Cleric, but as I wrote and began to tap into her character, the more I realized that Charisma was a much stronger and more relied on ability than I first thought. Which brought me to the conclusion that when she was first transformed... She inherited magica and skills of a Bard.
