Vimak - Walking Plague

Vimak is a Goliath that thought he found purpose, until what he dedicated his life to abandoned him, bleeding and torn apart in the mud. He found a new power in nature, which commanded him to take his life into his own hands, verses living for the gods, which he now feels like have turned a blind eye to him.

This Paladin gone Druid is all about being in the front lines. His Great Axe is a powerful weapon, even if the holy symbol at it's head is defaced and smashed in. Absorb Elements makes Vimak a incredibly powerful and tanky face of combat. He deals damage via the spores that surround him, add poison damage to all his attacks once they are active, and his Divine Smite adds radiant damage on top of all that. This guy stands tall in the face of combat, and he will make either a powerful ally, or a bitter villain, or both!

I've had my hands full with this beast of a guy!

Background - Vimak was the type that would tower over his fellow paladins in both stature and faith. He firmly believed that no matter what they were thrown up against, he and his would prevail. He believed this so much, that without approval from his superiors, he gathered his knights and marched to the Great Swamp. Rumors surrounded the swamp, some he heard from his commanding officer. "Something sinister," they said.

He never really believed the rumor, figuring it would be some lowlife hideout, and lies were told to keep those who weren't involved to keep their distance.

Deep in the Rethild, Vimak realized he made a deadly mistake. There was a rift, sulfur and flame scorched the swampland. Scrambling to close the rift, a Marilith slithered into the Prime Material Plane and attacked. Six dead, Vimak was on the ground, throat carved open and bleeding out, the final blow made to the demon by the only Paladin left standing. Vimak tried to reach out to him, but the gods did not acknowledge his efforts. The Paladin fled, leaving the Goliath to bleed into the mud.

It was through his own will, not that of the god he followed, that his wounds healed. Through the moments of his crisis of abandonment and lose, he found the true power of nature. Unbiased, providing for any who are strong enough to take it. And he did... Finding a hollow log teeming with odd spores. He focused on the spores, and they bent to his will, causing harm to whom he chose, and imbuing his axe to infect any who were caught in his swing.
